so i've not actualy updated in forever and two days now.
Though I must admit there isn't much to tell. Tomorrow marks the end of five months of this depoyment! just about halfway done already! This has gone by faster than that I expected and that makes me happy. May is 3 months away! I cannot wait, i will be so busy the whole two weeks. I've got a million hours to make up with Cadence, that's priority number one. I'm getting a tattoo, a half sleeve on my left lower arm. it will be dedicated to the one I call Tater Tot!!! I also have a fantstic rendevous with a new friend for a night of drunken bowling and whatever else we decide to do. All my friends want to take me out drinking, so i will be drinking plenty i imagine.
aside from leave coming up nothing new to report. rachael and I still bicker. rachael and my parents hate each other. i'm sitll an E3. um... yeah. so yeah nothing new.

so i'm chattign with my brother in law and he was telling me how his christmas was good until rachael opened her gift from me which was an ipod. he said he wasn' as happy after she got that ebcause her realy wants one now.
people have totally forgotten what the hell holidays are for. it's pretty damn upsetting. I didn't get rachael an expensive gift because it was expensive. i got it for her because she trully wanted one and i knew she would use the crap out of it. Hell i know rachael didn't get me anything that people would consider "really nice" but i know she got me stuff that i wanted and would use as well. When did it shift from enjoying giving to enjoying to receive? if rachael sent me a card i would never ever complain. because i know she's thinking of me and could care less if i didn't get anything new. it's jsut sad to see people becoming so greedy, and htose that got gifts not fully appreciating them.
i hope i instill my attitude in cadence. i dont' want her wanting to receive gifts and forget what the hell this holiday is for. I guess not beign with your family helps me appreciate the holiday for what it is meant to be.

I've not talked to this kid in like 8 years! And we just recently started talking via myspace. That's a damn good person. I've never felt so... not sure what the word is i'm lookign for. But barely any of my newer friends have even emailed me. and this guy is getting ppl to send me care packages! I miss the days when friendships meant something.

This christmas, I will not receive any gifts until after new years has past. YAY!!! nobody got their gifts out before the cutoff date, not even rachael. so i will have quite a belated and spread out christmas. not that it rally matters. doesn't even feel like christmas. white sand is no substitute for snow, that's for sure. I suck!

It's the holidays. Some of have it rougher than others...
Who cares! it's the freaking holidays! Put your whining, sniffling, petty, personal, family, and financial problems aside and enjoy one another's company! have fun with the friends and family you will be around this Christmas. Go visit someone you've not seen in a while. Make amends with an old grudge. DO SOMETHING TO BETTER YOURSELF AND YOUR LIFE. do something different, something new, or something old you've not done in a while.
My point is we have problems, we are not happy, we might not be with who we want to be with right now. Listening to someone complain and then telling them how you have it rougher is a no go at this station. Thinking that your life is bad, when you should be thinking about all the good is not the right answer kids.
If we are going to compare then shit bring it on! I have yet to complain about my situation this holiday season. at least not that i can remember. But I don't need to. for several reasons. the first being, I'm in my situation becuase I put myself in this situation. no one held a gut o my head and told me to join the army. I joined, I risked going to war, so i have no right to complain. The second reason is simply because i know that my wife, my daughter, my friends, and my family are safe. they are safe because I am over here. I am over here so they do not have to be. My daughter will get to open her gifts with her family.
Sure I'm not thrilled that christmas will be uneventful, but it's only one christmas out of the many that my daughter will get to experience with me.

I've learned valuble information recently. I thought i'd share my experiences with you all...
1>If you change your diet from drinking soda, to drinking gatorade. you WILL pee like you've been drinking beer frothe past 4 hours! Goodness gracious have i peed a lot. But i'm hydrated now, and that's a good feeling. my body likes me more when i give it what it needs, nto what i want.
2>If you are yourself, and confident, good looking officers will forget you're lower enlisted and hit on you. Ok this more applies to me, but the concept seems to work really well for anyone who applies it. It's even funer when you're married because you don't respond to their come ons.
3>Gmail is the shit! It is so much easier to use than yahoo or hotmail. it loads faster cuz it's all java ran. Replying is easier, the contacts lit has some cool features. i'm glad i switched. Thanks Santos!!!
